This is a great case of "good" bokeh. The object with the blurred background go well together, as the out-of-focus light points are a bit smaller than the object but the perfect size for this photo go go together. This brings a really nice effect, but there are also a bit of defects in this.
The lower left corner is too overexposed and too filled with these unfocused light points, thus making the already heavy left side too heavy, making the picture somewhat unbalanced.
The other defect of this photo is the halo around the object. If you look closer, the upper-left side of the star has a gradient "aura" coming from it, which I think is unnecessary in this photo.
I really like what you did with the colors. The cross-processing in this is done really well, as all colors go well together with each other, and saturation is the right amount too. The contrast is perfect too.
I say this is an excellent photography and would look really good on a wall in a frame. Good Job.
Hi, I really appreciated the color in this picture and have submitted it to my new group, #ColorFocus. I hope you can find the time to check it out - I think it will be a very interesting community once everything gets going. Feel free to submit anything else to the group, whether it be your own work or another Deviant's! Keep up the good work!
Why does everyones photography look the same nowadays? Apparently if I take a picture of a necklace a thousand times and make the background all sparkly, it will be so "cute" "original" and "creative". >_>
