It's a cute kitty picture, so it's obviously endearing and appealing. From a photographic standpoint, I would have liked the eyes to follow the rule of thirds. Given the direction the cat is "facing" or is oriented, putting it's eyes in the upper right would allow it to be looking across the picture. As a personal thought, I would have had a slightly larger depth of field to put the entire head in focus rather than just the nose and eyes with blurry ears behind. All that being said, it is again, cute. The color of the eyes pops due to the setup of the rest of the photo and I'm guessing it was taken much quicker than the amount of time needed to set up everything for what I outlined above. It does well what I imagine the picture is set out to do: show the cat and make the viewer smile.
