Hmm, I haven't done a critique before, but here it goes! I think the lighting really gives the kitten a really innocent feel and a soft glow. It feels a bit unbalanced, but that is a minor problem. The blur of the background in contrast to the sharp focus on the kitten gives the place a dreamlike feel, while making sure all attention is focused on the subject. It appears as if the photo is caught right before something is about to happen, some kind of movement that sort of snaps one out of this peaceful state. Overall, I think this is a good work which invokes the feeling of newness the kitten is probably feeling, and also shows how cute and innocent the kitten is.

This was an insta fave for me. Several years ago my family fostered a litter of 6 kittens from when they were 5 days old, but unfortunately I was too young to remember to take pics of them, so this is magical to me!
WHAT A LOVELY GOLDEN LITTLE BABY ! I CERTAINLY HAVE TO AGREE WITH SEVERAL OF THE OTHERS ; THIS TINY LITTLE ANGEL REALLY DOES SEEM TO BE YOUR FAVORITE MODEL .
B.T.W. AGAIN "AOAO2" , JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY , ARE YOU A MEMBER OF ANY "CAT-LOVERS" OR "CAT-RESCUE" GROUPS ? BECAUSE THESE PICTURES WOULD BE JUST WONDERFUL AS ANY TYPE OF "BE KIND TO ANIMALS" POSTER OR FLYER .
I just bought my first ever slr cam, the 550D, and i've been trying to get that kind of really blured out background, to get the main object in focus, but i can't get it as good as this what kind of adjustment do you use for this effect, blending speed, aperture and iso?
"She kinda looks like a ferret" i thought it was a baby ferret so i clicked on the picture to show off the baby ferret. now i'm going to try to decieve my family into thinking its a baby ferret...they feel for it...
